Michael Cacnio Sculptures: Big Hit at Moda Interni Showroom!

We have a soft spot for art, specifically local art; when selected properly, they can give a space more character and whimsy. One particular favorite artist of ours is Michael Cacnio, renowned for his modern-contemporary brass sculptures depicting scenic Filipino life. At Moda Interni, we can personally vouch that these statement pieces truly catch the eye as our clients regularly inquire about them during visits. Yes! These brass sculptures are also for sale at our showroom.

Born in 1969, Cacnio hails from the town of Malabon, Caloocan, where he showed an early interest in art, under the influence of his father, Angel Cacnio, a revered Filipino painter. Initially, Michael Cacnio professionally debuted as a painter, but he discovered his passion for sculptures under the tutelage of Napoleon Abueva, the “Father of Modern  Filipino Sculpture”, and National Artist for Sculpture. From then on, Michael Cacnio’s career took off, with his unique brass sculptures sold and featured world-wide.

Cacnio’s brass sculptures are all one-of-a-kind, depicting Filipino “archetypes' ' in action, and in a movement frozen in brass. Some of his works featured in Moda Interni showrooms include:

The Abundant Catch

“Ligaya ni Bunso”

All Michael Cacnio pieces in our showroom are for sale, and will come with a certificate of authenticity.
